Ambience Jewelry (Est. 2000?) has earned a significant reputation as an international award-winning company in its more than twenty history. Owner/designers Danuta and Jonathan Duran have created one-of-a-kind jewelry that employs a robust fusion of styles and influences.

From arcane sacred geometry to European contemporary, their work culminates in an innovative approach to mindful, yet sophisticated jewelry. Each hand-selected gemstone is masterfully set in precious metal. Outstanding pieces include Danuta’s 18-karat gold and diamond bracelet with ancient Celtic scrollwork and Duran’s 14-karat gold “Fire Blossom” ring with tanzanite, precious opal and diamonds.

To maintain the quality of its designs, the brand uses only hand selected precious and semi-precious stones, top quality platinum, gold, and 925 sterling silver in its creations.

Danuta trained in the modern techniques of jewelry design at the Cecilia Bower Studio and also worked with Omar Torres (Bulgari's legendary designer). She has created countless works of art inspired by ancient Celtic motifs in platinum and gold and now a silver jewelry line which is comprised of unique, expressionistic, and individual designs.

Danuta's Australian Opal Citrine and Spinel Earrings is another example of her artistry. Exceptional quality Australian Opal is the focal point of these earrings. The Opals are paired with distinguished Citrine Cabochons and Pink Spinel Teardrops. This creation is hand structured in 18 karat yellow gold.

Ambience Jewelry also features a collection of jewelry designed by Santa Fe based artist, and international jewelry design award winner Jonathan Duran. He received his formal education at Carnegie Mellon University's College Of Fine Arts. It was there that he studied the various techniques of painting, design, and illustration. He went on to graduate from Pitzer College with a Bachelor’s degree in Cultural Anthropology and a Bachelors of Fine Arts degree. Both of these have influenced his unique style based on an eclectic interpretation of art history and design.

Jonathan Duran's Elemental Series features jewelry that symbolizes the five elements; Water, Air, Fire, Earth, and Ether. In traditional Western culture, there are only four elements (earth, air, fire, water), but in some Eastern beliefs, there are five and those include the element of ether. In Jonathan Duran’s search for his connection to these aspects of perception, he has created a one of a kind, Morganite and Diamond Ring.

This platinum, handmade ring is set with delicate pavé diamond filigree with a 13.5 carat cushion-cut Morganite center stone. The intricate platinum designs are set with micro-pavé diamonds (total weight 3.5 carats), EF color and VVS clarity. It is intended to explore the five elements in all their glory.

The company also features a collection of jewelry designed by Farideh, an award winning Iranian designer of unique, hand-crafted items. It uses silver and 22 karat gold overlay with various stones.

Also available is a Native American Orange Spiny Oyster Sterling Silver Necklace designed by Nelson Begay, one of many Native American jewelry designers who share his surname. The necklace is handcrafted with sterling silver beads and findings as well as bright orange Spiny Oyster beads giving it an eye-catching look.

Ambience Jewelry also creates custom made pieces for its clients that begin with a complimentary design consultation. After the initial design is approved, the designers use CAD (computer aided design) to create a precision model of the desired piece. From that point, the company contacts its worldwide network to find and provide the appropriate stones. Once that is completed, Ambience begins the forging process in which the design is handmade and each element is crafted to perfection.
