Tasha R (????-) The Tasha R brick and mortar retail establishment is located in Houston, Texas and sells engagement rings for women, wedding bands for men and women, bangles, bracelets, earrings, necklaces, pendants, and a collection of precious rings. Most are encrusted with diamonds. A separate collection created in 14K Rose Gold features brown diamonds.

According to the brand’s website (where it offers the same items seen in the store), its head designer, Tasha R – whose full name is Natashah Rupani – has over twenty-five years of experience in the jewelry business. According to a 2008 article in the Houston Chronicle, Rupani’s family owned the Houston-based diamond wholesaler Low Cost Leader, a company, the website declares, “… has been in the diamond jewelry industry for two generations [and strives] to create beautiful unique pieces and build memories that last a lifetime.”

The site also says, “Outstanding quality and style are the hallmarks of a Tasha R ring. [The] rings are manufactured and quality checked in a sophisticated facility ensuring that each piece is perfect before reaching [the] customer. Rings are designed with love and care, keeping in mind that this piece of jewelry will be very important and memorable for the wearer.”

In June 2017, GemFind, a leading technology provider to the jewelry industry, congratulated the brand on the launch of its website, also writing, “Tasha R has an extensive selection of engagement jewelry and offers beautiful jewelry fitting for anyone.”

Research shows that in May 2012, a U.S. federal trademark registration was filed for ‘TASHA R.’ by Rupani, for items that would include body jewelry, bracelets, gold ore, gold thread jewelry, imitation jewelry, chains, findings, and rings. However, the trademark application was abandoned in November 2013 after the applicant failed to respond and/or did not file some required information in time.

The brand’s website concludes, “You can be comfortable knowing that each design is a design that Tasha would wear herself.”
