Jacques Cartier

Jacques Cartier is one of Alfred Cartier’s sons. His grandfather, Francois Cartier, founded the historic Cartier jewelry company. Jacques worked alongside his brothers to grow the Cartier business internationally by creating jewelry and watches. Jacques was responsible for the family’s store in London, England which he began managing in 1909. Jacques also took it upon himself to travel to find new gemstones. His travels took him to the Persian Gulf where he sought after pearls. Jacques also found valuable jewels in India, which he incorporated into designs at the London store.
